Site
All games will be played at Grimes Field, located in Peterson
Park. The main entrance to Peterson Park is at the intersection of 3rd and
Broadway in Mattoon. If you get off Interstate 57 at Exit 190-B, you stay
on Route 16 west into Mattoon. At the 3rd stoplight, turn right onto
Logan. Go one block and turn left onto Broadway. The park is 3
blocks ahead on your right.

Admission
Prices
Tournament Pass: $25.00
A Tournament Pass allows you to see all of the games and come
and go as often as you wish.
Passes will be sold at the gate and will also be available at
the tournament hotels on Tuesday afternoon and at the banquet Tuesday
evening.

Single game tickets are sold only at the gate. No pass
outs and no re-entry for fans with single game admission tickets.
All seats are General
Admission. There are covered grandstands along the first and third base
foul lines, plus plenty of room for fans to bring their lawn chairs at many
locations around the field.

Parking
There's no charge for parking and there's plenty of parking
inside Peterson Park. Some of the parking is close to the field of
play. Remember, you park at your own risk. The tournament is not
responsible for damages from a foul ball or errant throw.

Amenities
The concession stand is located behind the grandstand on the
first base side. There's a wide menu of sandwiches, soft
drinks, popcorn, candy, and other snack items.
Restrooms are located on the west side of the concession stand
building.
Peterson Park also offers numerous picnic areas, playground
equipment, miniature golf, batting cages, horseshoe pits, a sand
volleyball court, and more.

Tournament
T-Shirts
Souvenir t-shirts will be sold in the concession stand. The
cost is $15 and supplies are limited, so act fast for the best selection of
sizes.

Cooler
Policy
Only team coolers will be permitted inside Peterson Park during
the state tournament.

Tournament
Banquet
The tournament banquet will be held Tuesday evening,
August 7th at the Mattoon American Legion Post at 1903 Maple in
Mattoon. The guest speaker will be Eastern Illinois University
baseball coach Jim Schmitz. The doors will open at 6:00 p.m. and the
banquet begins at 6:15 p.m.
All players, managers, and coaches will receive free admission.
A limited number of additional tickets will be sold to fans and the
general public at a cost of $10 per person. Fans should contact the manager of their team for
information on banquet tickets.

Future
Tournaments
The champion of the Illinois state tournament advances to the
Great Lakes Regional Tournament in Menominee, Michigan, August 16-20.
The Great Lakes Regional Champion advances to the 2007 American
Legion World Series in Bartlesville, OK, August 24-28.

Radio
Broadcasts
All Mattoon Post 88 games will be broadcast live on WEIU-FM Radio
(HitMix 88.9). In the Mattoon area, the station broadcasts at
88.9 FM. Outside the area, you can listen live over the
internet at www.weiuhitmix.net.

The umpire crew for the 2007 American Legion State Tournament has
been announced:

All state tournament umpires have extensive experience working
college and/or professional baseball.
